I've been in St. Catharines for a week now, training full time until we leave for the Paralympics.
It's been really hard to move away from Eamonn and the kids. I get to see them on Sundays, but the days are long and hard, exhausting and emotional. That's when you need your family most.
We're training three times a day, starting at 7:30 am and ending around 6:00 pm.
Despite how much we're being pushed, everyone's head is in the game and we are focused on one thing.
The World Cup was a disappointment (we came in sixth) but it may also have been a good thing because we know now how hard we have to work.
So, I take it one workout at a time and, like my vision, block out all distractions around me and just focus on what's directly in front of me.
